Well, this weekend I was at my sister's house to celebrate my younger niece's 14th birthday. While I was there, I complained that I was running short on photos of my nieces. My sister let me loose on one of their computers that has tons of photos and I downloaded 1.5 CDs worth of photos! Woot!! Most of them, I won't be able to journal, because I have no idea when or where they were taken, let alone any other circumstances. I picked them because I thought they were cute, or fun...or whatever.

While I was at their house, I checked and was so excited to see that Bianca of Project B Scraps had chosen me to work with one of her kits! I've used lots of her freebies and couldn't wait to get started. Of course I used one of the photos from the CD which had the perfect colors!

The kit is "Blue or Pink: What do you think?" (cute name, huh???) I have 2 "expecting" photos to complete layouts of, but this one of my nieces just kind of fell into place so I'm posting it first. Check it out at the top of this post! Oh...the kit can be found at Digital Paper Hearts (just click to be taken there). Enjoy! AND GET THIS. Project B Scraps has ALL of her kits on sale for just $2.00 till the end of the week! Yowza!!

Well, we just got back from Cancun, Mexico. It was an unbelievable trip and I can't wait to start scrapping my..oh.....about 800 photos!!! LOL. We visited Chichenitza (kinda disappointed because you can't climb the pyramid anymore as it's a natural wonder! but the ruins are fascinating!), Xcaret (if you can only go one place, go here!!!) and Cozumel where we snorkeled from the Catamaran, Fury! Xcaret is kind of like a small zoo with several animals. But it is really known for it's underground rivers. You can get just a lifevest and float (which is what we did) or get the full gear and snorkel down the river. One river runs completely underground and one is both (I chose this one, wanted a little sun!). It was sooo relaxing!

Well, today I am going to post my little kit that I made for the Design Star competition they had on Scrap Matters. It was fun, but not knowing much about design, I didn't move on. This was okay for me, though, because I learned so much I now can practice and offer you all some goodies and be ready for the next competition!

Here is my mini-kit, "Little Peanut." I ask that you use it for personal use only. Enjoy!

Just wanted to take the time to congratulate those going on in the Scrap Matters Design Star competition!!! There is some awesome talent on that website!! Since I'll be headed to Cancun in less than a week, I'm kind of glad I didn't go on. It has allowed me to relax and concentrate on packing for my trip! Keep an eye on the competition though, the first 90 kits are downloadable, just register (see my previous post just below this). If you put my name in your intro (Scrappyfrog), you and I can both win a prize....maybe! Wouldn't that be grand!!

(The above scrappage was created using Green & Serene available on Scrap Matters.)

Well, gotta get ready for work.

ScrapMatters

I belong to several awesome websites for digital scrapping. ScrapMatters is one of these sites. I have just completed round 1 to become an apprentice digital designer (my final dream in all this) for them. While waiting for the judging to be completed, they started a 2nd contest for us. If you would like to help me you also stand a chance of winning a $25.00 gift certificate to ScrapMatters!! All you need to do is;

1) Become a new member and register

2) Create a new thread in the "introduce yourself" forum. In your little introduction, put in there that I, Scrappyfrog, recommended that you join (which I do!!).

3) Post 10 layouts by March 15 and snag the welcome kit! (there is a thread on how to get this or feel free to ask me how!).

4) There are so many awesome designers, but let me let you in on a secret...there were 90...yes NINETY contestants who each created a minikit for the contest and you may download all 90 minikits!! You must be registered to find them.

5) Enjoy!!!!!
Never digiscrapped? ScrapbookMAX has the most awesome and easy software! You can download a trial at their website here.
If you have Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, PaintShop Pro you can start digiscrapping right away.
The photo above is what you can be doing now. I'm hoping to start created some freebies so keep an eye out here as well! Thanks!
