Well, today is my last day at work before going on my "staycation"...my stay-at-home vacation. I have no projects to do, so I will be doing yuck work (cleaning my cubby and finding a better place for coffee supplies). Does this sound like fun or what? Uh....yeah...right! Well, who cares!?!? I don't have to return to work for 3 1/2 weeks!!! Yipee!! I have tons of stuff to do at home...clean...scrap...clean...visit...clean...scrap...clean....clean..clean...scrap..you get the idea! Well, I have to get ready soon...there are so many fires, the roads are a mess and I'll have to take the LOOOOONNNGG way around to get to work. So I'm outta here. I'm going to download a page I did of my good friend, Sue and her son, Gregory....I love the way it turned out! All of the items came from the Fall Splendor Blog train which begins here. Be prepared to download for days, though...there are tons of BEAUTIFUL kits! Enjoy! (Oh yeah, the little twig and the word art are mine!

Scary Morning

I got into the area of my home from work, this morning...and instead of going straight home, I did some errands. Well, I was driving to my last one, and there was this puppy in the road....he had been hit several times and, sadly, had died. The scary part was, he looked just like my dog Shadow. He had the same red harness and was the same size. I cried all the way home, peeked in my backyard and had to hold back the scream when Shadow came bounding out of the garage!!!! I was ecstatic! Well, I ran out of time to scrap a picture of him so I'm posting one I scrapped a while back in the frame I made. But I want everyone to go hug their animals, hubby, wife, kids...just love 'em up today! I keep thinking there is a family that lost their friend today and how sad that is.
(The paper is from Carena's Kitty Kat kit and the belt is from the Scotty kit, both found on ScrapbookMAX. The frame is the one I made and can be found on one of my older posts -search for pawprint frame)

My friends and I went to "The Melting Pot" last. It's a high-end fondue restaurant. Now, I'm not a drinker....period. However, everyone was trying different martini's and they talked me into choosing one. (Ya don't like it....I'll drink it!). So I opted for a Pomegranate Cosmo.....citrus vodka, pomegranate liqueur, pomegranate juice and cranberry juice. OMG! It was delicious. I usually take a few sips of whatever drink and pass it on.....I drank it all except the last 1/2 inch at the bottom! Woke up with the mother of all headaches *ouch*. Of course, I tasted everyone elses drinks as well...these included the "love" martini (yuck-strawberry), carmel apple martini (okay), yin yang (they make a ying yang on top with chocolate, was pretty good!), the chocolatini (so so), and the french hawaiian (yuck!). 90 bucks worth of drinks later......(only 4 of us ?!?!?!?!). Food...yes...we had food...appetizers were breads, veggies and fruit to dip into spinach artichoke fondue and cheese fondue. Dinner was platters of lobster tail, shrimp, bbq pork, filet mignon, chicken, and more veggies. Dessert...now...that was a treat (not that ALL this food wasn't yummy!). We had one pot of chocolate peanut butter fondue and one pot of Smores (chocolate, marshmallow creme sprinkled with graham cracker crumbs). For dessert dipping there was pound cake, fruit, cheesecake, rice krispie treats, brownies. I'm a thinking I gained AT LEAST 10 pounds last night!

Here is another of my scrapping pages....the flower was from Carena's "Alex" kit, found on ScrapbookMAX, the word art from http://elegantwordart2.blogspot.com/ and the paper is from DigiKeepsakes by Monica Evans (grunge paper). I love the simplicity. Hope you do too!

Well, I've really been getting into the digital scrapbook thing now. I've been learning up a storm and trying new things. This is one of my favorites....it's my cousin's daughter, Samantha. She wore my shoes because she wouldn't walk through the tall, dry grass in her sandals during the Easter egg hunt. I extracted the photo and then had some fun. Fairies are from freetubes.com, the rest is from Joann Cinnamon's Fairy Dreams - My Digital Addiction. Enjoy! (By the way, extractions look difficult but are quite easy once you catch on!!!).
Oh...and my vacation is in one week!! Yay!! I'm counting down. Not going anywhere, but gonna have fun anyway....
